The Massachusetts Juneteenth Council of America is dedicated to honoring the legacy of emancipation and advancing equity through education, celebration, and civic engagement. Our mission is to commemorate Juneteenth as a pivotal moment in American history, while promoting cultural awareness, economic empowerment, and community unity across Massachusetts and beyond.

We uplift the voices of Black communities, preserve African American heritage, and foster partnerships that support justice, healing, and collective progress. Through year-round programming, historical preservation, public events, and policy advocacy, we ensure that Juneteenth is not only remembered—but serves as a foundation for transformative action.
